Budget
The most surprising thing about the budget was the dorm/apartment rental fee every semester. I looked at prices for LSU (my preferred school) and it blew my mind how hard I'd have to work and how much money I wouldn't have after dorm fees. I think I'll start saving more rather than blowing my money. The other thing I didn't expect is how much my phone bill and car insurance would come out to be.

Scholarship essays will help dramatically. Even though you most likely won't want to do them, they will help with your expenses.
